As a retired U. S. Coast Guard Officer, artist, aviator, coach, and volunteer, I plan to put my leadership skills to work in an educational environment promoting learning and diversity of thought while instilling the love of lifelong learning.
Professional History
U. S. COAST GUARD OFFICER AND HELICOPTER PILOT, 2002-2022
• Search and rescue pilot responsible for executing search and rescue, law enforcement, and
environmental protection flights domestically and internationally.
• Directed a team of 6 Public Information Specialists covering a twenty-six state area. Lead contact for
Congressional leaders and their staff. Briefed District Admiral and senior staff on congressional issues
to garner support for Coast Guard Strategic Policies.
• Developed and maintained Aviation Safety Programs for U. S. Navy flight school and U. S. Coast
Guard units. Graduate of Naval Aviation Safety course and Southern California Safety Institute.
• Instructed International and DoD student naval aviators in rigorous Department of Defense master’s
level flight program. Instructed ground and inflight events teaching students basic and advanced
helicopter principles of flight.

• Custom photo printer (analog and digital) at Boston Photo. Scanned, resized, retouched, and printed
photos according to customer requests.
• Developed and designed the website for New Mexico State University’s Theatre Arts department.
Created custom templates, manipulated images, and regularly updated the department’s website.
• Lead carpenter for Theatre Arts department. Lead a team of 4 other carpenters along with students
to build, install, and strike sets according to design specs.
